Hague International is a world leader in providing industry with high temperature gas to gas heat transfer apparatus. The equipment, sold under the trade name of CerHx®, has been on the market since the 1970's, and, was initially supplied to the secondary metals processing industry to recover energy from the stack gases of industrial high temperature furnaces.
CerHx®
heat transfer equipment is available in single unit sizes ranging
from energy inputs of 150 kW to 120,000 kW, capable of operating
at pressures of 20 Bars and maximum inlet gas tumperatures of
1500°C.
CerHx® units have been in service for 20 years and have accumulated over 100,000 hours of successful operation, typically with gas side inlet temperature of well over 1100°C. The units will operate for six years or more maintenance free.
The application of a CerHx® unit to a high temperature process is typically less complex than metal solutions. The CerHx® unit does not require radiation shielding, or, the use of air dilution systems to reduce the inlet gas temperature.
The materials used in the construction of the CerHx® units are as resistant to high temperature chemical attack as are furnace linings. Nevertheless, there are chemicals that are extremely aggressive at high temperatures. Therefore, a chemical analysis of the inlet gas stream is essential to assure a successful application of a CerHx® heat exchanger.
